Contract Specialist
– Enterprise Imaging Overview of Position Contract Specialist will provide legal support to the sales and business organizations through drafting various types of agreements and act as an advisor to the sales and business organizations in order to advise on legal issues facing their business and processes in order to minimize Change Healthcareâs exposure and risk.
The Contract Specialist will work closely with and collaborate with Counsel and Sr.
Counsel and help the law department become a world-class high-performing organization.
The Change Healthcare Law Department is seeking an experienced candidate to provide legal support across the business.
As a valued member of the Legal and Compliance organization, this position has visibility and exposure to upper management in supporting a competitive business within the healthcare industry.
Candidates for this position will be based in Atlanta or Alpharetta What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Drafts and reviews contracts and provides guidance on contract standards Identifies, analyzes, researches and resolves legal and business process issues and makes appropriate recommendations Participates in contract negotiations Identifies risk, determines the level of risk and routes appropriately Recommends, develops and/or implements contracting policies, procedures and processes Monitors compliance with internal business and legal processes and policies Prepares presentations for the attorneys and presents to senior leaders, as applicable Prepares contract summaries and/or issues lists to present to attorney, senior law leaders or clients for review, if applicable.
Consults on legal provisions within the contracts.
Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of business units, products, strategy, and operational model.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Minimum 4-year degree or 7-10 years of direct contract drafting; software licensing, intellectual property or healthcare industry experience preferred.
Office 365 suite, Adobe, SalesForce, Apttus, Icertis, and SharePoint skills required.
Communicate openly, clearly, and completely (including excellent written skills).
Listen to the needs of the internal client or external customer to understand the broader context of issues that arise during contract negotiations and strategic initiatives.
Demonstrated excellence in conducting in-depth legal research and analysis regarding a broad range of health care issues.
Demonstrated ability to conduct complex initiatives in a self-directed manner, with minimal oversight by attorneys, and to deliver superior results in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with broad spectrum of business unit attorneys, compliance officers and business unit representatives.
Ability to prioritize multiple, ongoing initiatives and efficiently re-prioritize such responsibilities, as may be required in a changing business environment.
Ability to work effectively with internal and external clients and promote the reputation and integrity of the Law Department and Company.
