Writer/Program Developer

Nicabm

This is a Contract position in Storrs, CT posted February 22, 2022.

If you have demonstrated ability as a writer, sharp critical-thinking skills, and are looking for a meaningful and creative professional experience, this might be the job you’re looking for.

Responsibilities:

  • Create educational training materials, curricula, and programs for health and mental health care professionals (background in health/mental health is not required)
  • Write engaging narration to set up the video clips and show the audience why the ideas matter
  • Weave together diverse expert perspectives into a cohesive narrative
  • Write interview questions for expert speakers with a focus on drawing out ideas that are useful to our audience
  • Select the best, most useful clips from interviews to include in our programs
  • Work with graphic designers to develop infographics that make complex ideas easy to understand (you would write the text and develop the concept, no art skills required)
  • Research potential expert speakers who could contribute to our programs
  • Brainstorm future program topic ideas that will attract registrations
  • Write quizzes that assess the participant’s understanding of the key ideas in each program
  • Write clear, engaging blog posts based on current research studies
  • Draft surveys to find out what topics would be most useful to our audience
  • Analyze survey results and report them back to the management team
  • We would be thrilled to find an applicant with experience drafting successful ACCME, APA, and NBCC reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be results oriented and take responsibility for success of the projects you work on
  • A creative thinker who can come up with new and interesting ways to present topics in mind/body medicine to our audience
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
  • Must be results oriented and take responsibility for success of the projects you work on
  • A positive attitude and flexibility for last-minute changes
