What you will be doing

Primary Responsibilities
- Contributes to data related projects with nominal oversight
- Design, develop, and automate scalable data engineering solutions by leveraging cloud infrastructure. Extend or migrate existing data pipelines to new cloud environment.
- Craft data models of program processes and data entities.
- Develops technical design & documentation of solutions
- Participates in optimization of data asset performance
- Transfers knowledge of data access/consumption mechanisms to business stakeholders, data visualization specialists and/or data scientists
- Implementation of data cleansing procedures
- Develop solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues
- Partners with other Analytic team members and business stakeholders to drive development of business analytics data products
- Identifies and validates opportunities to share/reuse existing data/information
- Develop data transformation and aggregation logic, working under Senior Analytics Data Engineer
- Conducts unit testing to ensure business analytics solutions meet user specifications
- Create a framework for representing data elements including the entities, relationships and attributes
- Verify data access mechanisms satisfy analytics consumption needs
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in Programming/Systems or Computer Science
- Involved with small to medium projects to implement data solutions
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years working with data, preferably with exposure to large data sets
- Hands-on experience with data tools and platforms such as Azure, Hadoop, NoSQL, Spark, SQL Server etc.
- Some industry experience in pharmaceutical, payer, or health services industry preferred
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience using SQL/NoSQL based languages across structured/unstructured sources
- Exposure to or understanding of cloud-based data technologies
- Eager to learn from senior team members and curiosity to independently seek out sources of information for self-learning
- Ability to learn new data technologies and quickly adapt them to real-world scenarios
- Strong interpersonal and team interaction skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
