Minimum qualifications PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience with a focus on routing and switching.
Network Vendor experience including product line management and routing system architecture.
Experience with networking technologies (across the OSI Organizationel) and standards development organizations such as IETF, IEEE and ITU-T Preferred qualifications Network Operator experience including designing and operating the largest IP networks on the planet.
Proficiency with Go, C++, and/or Python.

The role of vendor point-of-contact TL, is a technical senior-level engineering role, that objectively manages cross-functional priorities, and is empowered to be the trusted single channel of communication across all vendors.
This vendor lead will also need to factor in business considerations and optimize for Company’s short-term and medium-term interests, regardless of their own project involvement and reporting structures.
In this role you’ll define strategies, architectures and technologies for building Company’s IP network(s) that will meet the service level objectives.
Production Networking covers a wide range of network technologies and reaches from large scale network design, routing and forwarding, optical technologies and reaches.
Youll specify network design, hardware, embedded software and control/management software requirements for routing and switching platforms, evaluate and qualify new technologies, and develop tools and processes for introducing these in the network.
