Test Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Test Technician in support of our industry leading technology development client in Ashburn, VA.

Summary In general, this is considered an advanced position where the resource uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new conceptstechniques and to complete assignmentstasks in innovative and effective ways.

Expert knowledge on the generaltechnical aspects of the job.

Work is completed independently and has ability to handle most unique situations.

As part of Customer’s requirements, the company will provide a dedicated onsite technician to help address Customer’s IT needs This need may include Verification of status lights on servers, devices, network devices (switches, modems, servers or routers) Verification of power connections on servers and network devices InstallationVerification of cables, cable connections on servers, network devices Replace Customer Self Repair parts, such as Hard Drives, Power Supplies or Fans Customer will ensure that self repair parts are available Work is completed independently, and candidate should have the ability to handle unique situations and trouble shoot HW failures as they occur Candidate will utilize customer’s (DXC) ticketing system to logcheck status of trouble tickets REQUIREMENTS Minimum requirement of a Technical Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Networking, Computer EngineeringTech Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Computer Technology Electrical EngineeringTech, and other similar fields are preferable Must have minimum 4 years of work history in a Data Center Environment (serverrack environment) Knowledge of the company’s server products Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers and supervisors Experience with Windows Server Operating System, knowledge of image deployment, Microsoft office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook) Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills required Candidate should be detail oriented demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical trends and concerns Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers demonstrated conflict management and interpersonal communication skills Must be able to successfully identify basic purpose of server rack components Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
