Technical Analyst
– Business Intelligence Technical Analyst for migration of 100 BI Report and Dashboards mapping from legacy data sources (Oracle) over to new data sources (SQL Server)

Business Intelligence technical analyst for buildout of enterprise BI Dashboarding and Reporting structures, cubes and marts, with drill down and self-service capability for enterprise finance and accounting.
Ensure all legacy BI Report functionality is mapped over and is functional on the new platform.
Plus add in any new functionality required.
Gathers, validates and documents business requirements for business intelligence implementation projects determines functionality and data required to meet requirements and articulates integration required for the existing business intelligence (BI) environment.
Facilitate requirements session workshops to elicit use cases, stories, priorities, and card sorting.
Understand business processes, use cases, frequency, priorities, and business impacts of BI solutions.
Translates BI requirements into logical data models, data flow diagrams, schemas, data definition documents.
Queries data and assists in data profiling activities.
Pull data samples from sources with SQL, TOAD, SQL queries and performs data profiling, logical modeling.
Data sampling, data profiling, data wrangling, aggregation, and blending data sets for BI drill down capability.
Analyzes data (complex joins, pivots, aggregation, blending, normalization) into data models for cubesmarts to support BI Dashboards with drill down and self-service capabilities.
Facilitates BI functionality sessions with Business SME’s, BI Developers (Cognos, Tableau, SSRS), and DWETL Engineers.
Liaison between the Business Intelligence tech teams and the internal clients.
Ensures BI Engineers understand the data needs and models to support business BI use cases and stories.
Help embed data quality and master data management into business processes, BI solutions, and data sets.
Develop BI end user UAT test strategy and test plans.
Leads business clients in end-user testing efforts for both major business intelligence releases and minor enhancement releases.
Coordinates and conducts all BI training using the business intelligence front-end reportquery products.
Assists in mentoring other technical staff members in business processes and workflows.
Requirements 3-5 years Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst

Experience Data sampling, data profiling, data wrangling, and blending data sets for BI drill down capability.
Advanced Business Intelligence requirements identification and documentation experience.

Hands on experience with BI tools, such as report writers and cube technology Intermediate skills with SQL, Toad or other query tools.
Intermediate skills in Joint Application Design (JAD) facilitation or other requirements gathering techniques.
Basic understanding of ETL, BI, Cognos, and Tableau dashboards Experience developing and conducting BI platform training Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences Preferred knowledge of financial industry, investing, banking and lending terminology.
