As a Systems Engineer you will provide systems engineering support for the ICBM Sustainment Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle Sub-System as part of Air Force Strategic Programs. The successful candidate will have an experience base within systems engineering principles as it relates to Flight Test Support/Activities and technical assistance in support of Test & Assessment efforts. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide on-site real-time systems engineering support for the ICBM Sustainment Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle Sub-System as part of Air Force Strategic Programs. The successful candidate will have an experience base within systems engineering principles as it relates to Test & Assessment activities on Minuteman III Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) Subsystem Sustainment Contract (SSC). Relay relevant information to the Test & Assessment WG, update task progression and problem resolution daily, summarize/report weekly activities and status. Works primarily with the Test & Assessment Working Group (WG) Lead for specific technical and programmatic issues and ensure the tasks are completed in expeditious and through manner. Responsible for being part of a team that will interface with local Air Force customers. Activities include Aging Surveillance, Hardness Surveillance, Flight Test, Service STAR, and Closed Loop Failure Analysis (CLFA). Responsibilities are to ensure AF tasking is met, coordinating report approvals, out briefings, component testing, test readiness reviews, post test data reviews, pre-flight briefings, flight night activities, and post-flight analysis/data reviews. Contribute to RS/RV inputs for annual Weapon System Effectiveness Report and Databook and associated reliability scoring and reporting efforts via the Reliability Scoring Panel. • Excellent verbal and written communication (including technical writing); • Demonstrated Strong organizational, multi-tasking, communication, presentation, and decision-making skills • Demonstrated excellence in people and interpersonal relationship skills • Motivated self-starter who works effectively under tight deadlines • Reliability testing/reporting experience • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Minuteman III or ICBM system experience • DoD Secret security clearance or above • Aging/Hardness Surveillance experience • Failure analysis experience • Experience with NNSA Agencies • Experience with AFGSC • JIRA database understanding and operating knowledge • Familiarity with Weapon System Risk development and mitigations
