The Systems Engineer will function as an integral member of a team of Government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support to the MDA Chief Architect’s Office Integrated Air and Missile Defense Technical Authority (IAMD TA) Directorate.

The IAMD TA Directorate is an architecture development organization under the MDA Chief Architect’s Office.

The team provides architecture development support, program research, engineering, and advanced capability development and demonstration support for Integrated Air and Missile Defense working in conjunction with the military services, combatant commands, prime contractors, and joint staff.

The candidate will support model based systems engineering (MBSE) functional and behavior analysis for the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Integrated Air and Missile Defense Technical support for the development of the IAMD Systems Architecture.

Specifically the candidate will work in support of the Director, IAMD TA as a Systems Engineer participating in the development of a C-UAS Systems Architecture development, systems requirement development, system architecture documentation, capability modeling.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field and five (5) years or more experience in Systems Engineering

Required Skills Understanding of established Systems Engineering processes and concepts

Experience with Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems

Familiar or interest in learning Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Architecture Development

Individual should demonstrate a technical background in requirements development and documentation processes for complex, military system of systems activities.

Individual should demonstrate familiarity with or interest in learning and using system modeling tools such as “System Architect,” “Rhapsody,” “Magic Draw,” or similar tools.

Desired Skills Experience with US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corp, Command and Control Systems and Data Networks and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, including report writing

Capable of working both independently and within a small team environment.

Required Clearance An ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
