Your Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Urbandale, IA, you will….
- Develop Ethernet Hardware, harnesses, and high-speed connector systems
- Produce and evaluate possible design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance-based on knowledge of engineering principles
- Complete implementation of the product design into production, collaborating with Supply Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Customer Support
- Work with PV&V and Product Safety and Standards to develop and/or execute test or analysis plans required for country compliance and product verification and validation
What Skills You Need
- Knowledge of electrical system development for off-highway mobile equipment
- Knowledge of industry Product Verification & Validation processes and execution methodologies
- Understanding of Electronic Hardware design/verification/manufacturing processes and tools
- Leading technical teams in the development and integration of electronic hardware
- A self-starter with the ability to work well without close direction
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to break complex opportunities/issues/obstacles down into executable action items
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with 1000/100BASE-Tx and or 1000/100BASE-T1 Ethernet
- Product program management or project planning experience
- Product design, test, and/or analysis experience
- Product delivery processes experience
- Electronic compliance experience
- Experience with Creo Parametric
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering
