The IMDb TV team is shaping the future of digital video entertainment.

Our mission is to build earth’s most customer centric ad supported premium free video service and make it trivially easy for hundreds of millions of customers to enjoy.

We have learned that customer’s love IMDb TV so we are looking for a Sr.

Software Development Manager who can build on our early success, pioneer new programs for customers, and help define our future.

As a member of the IMDb TV team, you will spend your time as a hands-on manager and a technical leader.

You will play a key role in defining the product, designing the architecture, and building teams from the ground up.

Your teams will use a wide range of technologies, programming languages and systems.

You will be able to balance technical leadership with strong business judgement to make the right decisions about technology choices to innovate rapidly.

You will have the freedom and encouragement to explore your own ideas and the reward of seeing your contributions benefit tens of millions of Amazon.com customers.

Along with developing and managing a team of SDEs, you will work across other Amazon teams to influence key areas of the video ecosystem, lead engineering work that can be leveraged across broader Amazon teams, and partner with other technical leaders.

You will work directly with senior business leaders to set and achieve aggressive goals.

This is very much Day 1 for IMDb TV so you would be joining an entrepreneurial and pioneering team that is building from scratch.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 10 years of relevant engineering experience
· 5 years of experience, managing engineers and managers
· Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
· Relevant engineering experience
· Management experience (including a combination of experience hiring, managing performance, and providing technical leadership)
· Experience managing managers
· The ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life.

· Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
· Strong business and technical vision
· Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality
· A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
· Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
