Sr Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is looking Sr Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in Bloomfield, CT.

Duties:
Guides the company on strategic Information Protection decisions and provides advice that has a significant impact on strategic planning. Solves unique and complex problems related to information protection that have a broad impact on the business. Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Acts as lead contact with vendors to develop technical solutions for site computer security needs, and makes recommendations to senior management. Conducts complex surveillance of computer protection measures, and creates measurement tools for system vulnerability assessments. Serves on internal committees to represent computer security interests. Possesses industry-wide authority and represents the organization externally. Widely recognized Information Protection expert and thought leader by both internal and external community and is responsible for the technical leadership of a major department/multiple departments across a function.

Role Summary:
This role is to support large scale projects to design integrated security architecture components with a main focus on AWS solutions. This position is responsible for understanding business/technical requirements related primarity to AWS Cloud deployments and using those as inputs to create executable designs. Role requires cross-competency and/or large scale initiative experiences. The Sr Security Architect is able to offer guidance and direct solution outcomes.

Skills:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to facilitate technical planning
• Lead solution / design discussions both internally and with the customer
• Ability to own and complete requirements and architectural design documents as focal as well as direct other contributors to overall completion
• Ability to make decisions and provide guidance on technical frameworks and approach
• Create Solution design documents and diagrams around a Multiple products / complex projects
• Ability to lead solution implementation and direct team outcomes (not PM, technically focused)
• Ability to review technical work of team members and advise on course correction where needed
• Ability to decompose technical design into stories/tasks
• Ability to understand effort estimate and sizing of project work
• Ability to help customer evaluate technology choices and provide advice

Qualifications:

• Business Case, Requirements, and Design experience in Cloud and AWS in particular
• 10+ years relevant experience in a consultative/external capacity
• Domain certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.)
