As our IT Manufacturing Application Analyst, you will provide technical expertise and oversee a variety of technical/analytical assignments.
Through problem diagnosis you will create technical solutions and take ownership of the documentation, implementation, administration and support on a variety of software components.Splitting your time between operational support for existing applications and project-based work, you will help drive development and deployment of new applications and business process improvements.
The successful Manufacturing Application Analyst will also be the key liaison between technical staff, management, users and vendors regarding technical issues through on-site and remote access.What you’ll be doing: Leading / Participating in the design, development, and enhancement of custom applicationsLeading / Participating in requirements gathering to provide technical guidance on systems and solutionsOverseeing configuration and development changes through environment to meet Armstrong’s business objectivesDeveloping and managing relationships with vendors in support of staff augmentation and systems supportParticipating in the development, implementation and maintenance of best-practice standardsProviding integrated systems planning and recommends new or different technologies which will enhance current systems and support overall corporate and business goalsLeading and directing multiple projects managing resources and monitoring progressEstablish/maintain lines of communication with stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to improve global standardization and organizational efficienciesServe as a point of escalation for team member’s issuesAssist in the recruitment and selection of project resources as requiredAssist in the creation and maintenance of multi-year functional roadmaps for assigned disciplinesDocument necessary technical design and analysis work, including project postmortem documentation and metric collection Maintain application documentation and process topology to ensure alignment between the business strategies and the technology roadmapWhat will make you successful: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 3 years of experience with programming languages such as C++ or C#Experience with .NET, SharePoint, SQL/SQL Server, Power BI, HTML, Windows Forms, Web Services and XMLPC hardware troubleshooting skills (DST), mobile device support (Android, iOS) Working knowledge of technologies commonly utilized in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office productsBroad technical grasp of application architecture preferred in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of scripting languages: JavaScript, Linux/Unix Shell Scripting, Windows PowershellExperience with versioning and change control software (Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Azure DevOpsCertification in either a process discipline (ITIL, PMI, Lean, Six Sigma) or technical discipline (Cisco CCNA, CCNP; Microsoft CCSA, CCSE)Why should you join Armstrong World Industries?Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative commercial and residential ceiling, wall and suspension system solutions in the Americas.
