SPECTRUM: Systems Engineer – Video Operations

JOB SCOPEThe Systems Engineer is responsible for effective installation/configuration, provisioning, operations, monitoring, and maintenance systems which include hardware, software and other related infrastructure to support video applications.

The individual will support multiple teams which include development, engineering and lab teams and will provide technical support to company’s advanced video and signal processing hardware, software and conditional access systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for operating and maintaining health of Video Operations Systems and applicationsIdentifying and correcting monitoring and alerting gaps to prevent outageMaintain accurate record keeping of system architecturePerform change work under Change Management guidelinesSupport special projects and complete in timely mannerSupport programming change activitiesImplements, monitors, enhances and troubleshoots systemsBASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors Degree Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experienceMinimum one (1) year of Unix and Linux operating systems, Windows systems admin, or cable head end work experienceMinimum one (1) year of deployment troubleshooting and providing administration work experienceADDITIONAL JOB QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of GIT/subversion technologyKnowledge of scripting; Shell, PERL, Python, Ansible, etcStrong ability to troubleshoot application problemsBasic IP networking knowledge, TCP/IP addressing, OSI model, interface types, Multicast vs UnicastPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTelecommunication and / or cable industry experienceBasic knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and configure DAC or EC Controller devices and functions, and STB interoperability.Basic understanding of SDV workflow.Basic understanding of Systems Video Back office systems and STB interoperabilityMonitoring and alerting: Splunk, Icinga ISY340-VIDEO 303756 303756BR Here, employees dont just have jobs, they build careers.

The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.

Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
