What you will do as our Software Product Director
 

We want someone to use their talents to give us an all-around, in depth perspective on potential customer and existing client software needs, with the ability to translate and prioritize those requirements for our development team to implement.  You will have responsibility for driving our product roadmap and delivering on ambitious business goals. You will manage the overall customer experience, define product pricing models, budget and allocate resources, and guide the entire software life cycle process to successful completion.

Key Areas you will contribute include
 

Your skills will foster meeting our client user’s education, implementation, satisfaction, and technical support needs.
 

• Work closely with stakeholders (customers, software developers, leadership) to understand needs and priorities
• Translate market and stakeholder needs into product requirements and definable product solutions
• Collaborate with the Software Development Manager and team to bring feature ideas and prototypes to life
• Be the “voice of the customer” during work specification and development stages
• Act as a product champion externally and internally in support of sales channels
• Set product pricing and manage product proposals. 
• Manage overall software profit center and product portfolio
• Track and report key metrics to drive future product developments

What we are looking for
 

A successful candidate will need to be comfortable in a fast paced environment, able to work at both a user and technical level, and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction and profitable outcomes.
 

• In-depth knowledge of the commercial building construction project delivery and project management processes

• Familiarity with current software tools used for commercial building and/or security and access control product estimating, scheduling and project management
• End-to-End software product development and management experience
• Strong technical background with a knowledge of DevOps and overall software development lifecycle
• Excellent communication and presentations skills, both verbal and written
• 3-7 years software product management experience
• Entrepreneurial spirt and passion for new technologies and its transformational capabilities
• Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation
