Software Engineer with Security Clearance

We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer to support our Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) team at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The NGTS is a synthetic environment generator used at multiple Navy and Air Force installations to support training, testing, analysis and research and development. This system provides threat intelligence in support of critical large-scale DoD exercises.  Duties include, but not limited to: Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment
This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.
Support software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrations. Travel to customer sites is required.
Minimum Requirements The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; thereby, in accordance with Federal Requirements, medical requirements include but are not limited to full COVID-19 vaccination status by 8 December 2021, except in limited circumstances where a candidate is legally entitled to an accommodation – proof of vaccination required. Knowledge and Skills The required skills and knowledge include: Demonstrated experience with C++ object-oriented software design and development
Must be able to communicate effectively, professionally, and positively, both orally and in writing. 
Able to successfully manage competing tasks and priorities. 
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals at all levels. 
Work must be completed on-site, minimal telework available. The minimum years of related experience required: Three (3) years of practical experience in software engineering preferably associated with modeling and simulation within the training and training systems domains. Education The minimum level of education required is: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematician, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution. Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include: Must be US Citizen
Must hold an active Top Secret security clearance
