This is a Full-time position in Colorado Springs, CO posted June 11, 2020.

The Advanced Ground Systems (AGS) program in Colorado Springs is growing and needs Software Engineers for the development of our Nation’s newest systems to support Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs and satellite operations.

Boeing is developing state of the art Space BMC2 systems leveraging cutting edge technology across a diverse portfolio of applications and programs.

We seek a candidate having knowledge software architecture for large-scale, enterprise systems leveraging cloud-based technologies.

Applying agile methodologies to manage design, development, and delivery using a continuous integration/continuous delivery software pipeline.

Applications built specifically to support modeling and simulation, satellite systems, system integration, or database architecture.

We seek a candidate with advanced skills in software development and want to bring their skills to the next level through mentoring and hands-on development which includes backlog development and grooming, software design and implementation.

The position requires a wide range of technical management skills, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders (customer, Boeing, supplier) to ensure the best value is delivered.

Position Responsibilities : Agile development and product/platform leadership Continuous Integration and Testing Spacecraft modeling and optimization algorithm design and implementation Docker container design and implementation Orchestration of software services Automation through-out the CI/CD pipeline, including set-up, configuration, and support to test Software architecture – leveraging open standards, microservices, and model based engineering tools to articulate the software design Data architecture and implementation As a member of the Software Engineering team, you have the opportunity to be involved in the entire development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to delivery of the customer’s system.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience) BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering is required.

Must possess a current (within the last 5 years) final Top Secret clearance.

Boeing Security will validate clearance level.

3 years of experience with a range of programming languages, including interpreted (such as Python) to compiled (such as C/C++) to assembly language 3 years of experience with Real Time Operating Systems, such as Integrity, Real-Time Linux or vxWorks Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications Agile development and product/platform leadership Continuous Integration and Testing Spacecraft modeling and optimization algorithm design and implementation Docker container design and implementation Orchestration of software services Automation through-out the CI/CD pipeline, including set-up, configuration, and support to test Software architecture – leveraging open standards, microservices, and model based engineering tools to articulate the software design Data architecture and implementation Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD, Master3 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
