Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Technical Lead Software Engineer Communication as a Service (CaaS). Position can be located in Saint Louis, MO., Huntington Beach, CA., Palmdale, CA., San Diego, CA., Huntsville, AL. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team in defining requirements, development, integration and testing of mission planning software. Position Responsibilities: Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Familiar with automated unit tests, integration test etc. Provides subject matter expertise to other technical and support personnel. Acts as representative for customer, user and other stakeholders Supports software project management and software supplier management functions. Performs software research and trade studies. Analyzes and provides evaluation of development cycle performance Develop, select, tailor and deploy processes and tools; establish metrics; and utilize regulations and industry standards. Participate in process reviews. Provides guidance to less experienced employees, performs research, may contribute to proposals, documents research and development results and aids technology transfer into programs. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5 years of experience in programming in C/C++, Python, Visual Basic or Java 3 years of experience architecting software solutions Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills / Experience ): 2 years of experience in communication networking protocols 1 years of experience as a software development team lead Typical Education & Experience : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s) and typically 7 or more years’ related work experience.
