Software Engineer: Java-based (Java, Kotlin) applications / APIs Work on a team in the building of a next generation cloud-based healthcare platform leveraging the latest and evolving set of Web techniques and technologies. Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software to automate, manage, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and development tools for this new platform. Provides technical support to project team members. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Experience:BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of related experience. • Experience building Java-based (Java, Kotlin) applications and APIs.• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like NodeJS, React, Redux.• Experience writing APIs to serve larges amount of data while retaining a high level of quality and performance.• Experience building web pages using modern HTML and CSS practices.• Knowledge of popular web page design frameworks like Bootstrap and MaterialUI.• Ensures a high-quality product by utilizing code reviews and unit testing.• Knowledge of how to use Git and best practices around continuous delivery of code.• Communicates proactively and effectively with team members and other product stakeholders in a highly Agile environment.• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals according to timelines and budgets agreed upon with business stakeholders.• Strong SQL design and development skills.• Demonstrated initiative to automate processes and policies.
