Position ndash 3 ndash Software Engineer, Camera System POSITION SUMMARY OVERVIEW We are looking for a Camera System Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering team of the GN Jabra Intelligent Vision Systems group, based in Cupertino, CA.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and creative self-starter and multi-tasker who has 1-5 years of device driver software engineering development experience and is interested to work on state-of-the-artindustry-leading products.
As a member of our Software Engineering development team, you will gain valuable experience in how to develop and deploy industry-leading software products in conjunction with our industry-first PanaCast multi-camera array systems and related products.
This individual will work closely with senior management, as well as the sales and engineering teams.
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the Sr.
Software Developer will be responsible for directing and carrying out the following responsibilities.
Responsibilities and End Results In this position, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to Design, develop, test and deploy industry-leading multi-camera products.
Designing, developingcoding, and debugging of system validation software.
Reviewing and creating software design specifications.
Debugging of software and system issues.
Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment, and formal software process.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and communication skills.
Deep understanding of embedded internals and various debugging techniques.
Research and development of emerging techniques, industry trends, processes, approaches and patentable technologies.
Application and definition of technologies to meet product requirements.
Work alongside Senior Hardware designers in architecting complex microprocessor firmware designs, along with detailed follow through and execution.
Participates on a technically focused team that researches a technology roadmap.
Contribute in team-based projects and manage individual project deadlines and deliverables QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering.
Experience A minimum of 5 years experience in embedded software development low level validation and debug Experience with source control and best coding practices In-depth understanding of Video and image processing algorithms including implementation aspects.
Skills Competencies Exceptional microcontroller and SoC development and problem-solving skills.
Strong programming skills in CC++ Familiar with SoC system architectures, especially familiar with bus protocols like MIPI, I2C, I2S, USB and SPI.
Adaptation, optimization, and implementation of advanced image processing algorithms on SIMD processors, DSPs and GPU using OpenCL or CUDA.
Experience in computer visionmachine learning, image processing, or computer graphics.
Experience in computational photography algorithm or ISP (3A and image restorationenhancement algorithms) development.
Self-starter and multi-tasker in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to innovate.
Strong engineering skills, capable of wearing many hats in a small and dynamic engineering team.
Display solid interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication capabilities, both locally and with remote design teams.
Travel Occasional travel required, domestic and international.
