Software Development Engineer (Lidar Perception Pipeline Performance)

Position Title: Software Development Engineer (Lidar Perception Pipeline Performance) Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire Software Development Engineer opportunity with our client in Kent, WA.

Job Requirements: Software Design and Development for automotive lidar products.

Software Development for System on Chip (SoC) devices running Embedded Linux Implementation of Computer Vision and Machine Learning perception algorithms.

Performance optimization of algorithms in the perception pipeline.

Collaborate closely with team members and cross-functionally on developing systems from prototyping to production level.

Innovate new product features leveraging Laser Beam Scanning Technology.

Document and communicate design work.

Conduct design reviews.

Qualifications: Expert level in C++, working knowledge of Development experience on custom platforms using Embedded Linux.

Expertise in writing fast, efficient, and low-latency code for parallel processing of real-time data.

Hands on experience utilizing some of the following software frameworks and libraries: Computer Vision (e.g., OpenCV), Point Cloud Processing (e.g., PCL), Parallel Computing (e.g., Cuda), Visualization (e.g., OpenGL), Machine Learning (e.g., TensorFlow), or ML Compilers (e.g., TVM).

Knowledge of digital filtering techniques and working with 3D datasets and point clouds.

Exposure to Software Projects developing to Automotive standards, such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, or AUTOSAR.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
