Software Development Engineer

MCG Health, LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer for its HQ in Seattle, WA.

Will work as part of a Scrum team and utilize programming skills, including design, code review, implementation, testing, and debugging; understanding of multi-tier, high-throughput web application architecture; working knowledge of a significant subset of standard Web application technologies; and familiarity with the Agile software development processes, to design, develop, program, test, implement, optimize, upgrade and maintain both (a) the client-hosted and Web-based enterprise level software applications which comprise the Company’s proprietary evidence-based clinical guideline, medical management and clinical information system products; and (b) the stored procedures and database server engines that facilitate client-server access and query of the Company’s back-end object-oriented and relational databases which store the clinical guideline, medical management and clinical information sought by the Company’s clients.

Also assist with both new product development as well as support and enhancement of existing products.

Participate as a Scrum team member with Company web producers, designers, database architects, and other application engineers to define and build dynamic interfaces across various application layers.

Perform business requirements (BR) analysis and then convert BRs into technical specification documents that will guide the design and development of service oriented software architectures and applications that will meet both internal and external stakeholder needs and requirements.

And assist with the design, build and application of business objects reused across different parts of the system.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a field of Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering, plus 2 years of Web-based or client-server software application requirements gathering and analysis, coding, design, testing, performance tuning and optimization, defect fixing, deployment and maintenance experience that included full software development life cycle and use of .NET Technologies (ASP.NET), C#, SQL and Web technologies (including HTML, XML, JavaScript, AJAX and JQuery).
