Job Description
IT Interface Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop and maintain custom application and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) interfaces
Provide project management and support for internal, external, and third-party interface projects
Perform interface testing and validation activities to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
Perform routine testing and monitoring for changes that could impact interfaces.

Communicate, document, and test changes proactively to maintain the validated state of the interfaces
Troubleshoot and investigate errors or inquiries regarding application interfaces
Document interface design specifications, architecture, and troubleshooting guides
Communicate professionally with both internal and external customers
Participates in the software development lifecycle to support interface projects
Rotates on-call duties with other IT staff
Supports VRL Eurofins business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics
Meets basic expectations of VRL’s quality management system, including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, accurate record keeping so the company may meet its stated quality policy and objectives
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess

Experience working with common data formats
Knowledge of APIs and Web Services
Experience with VPN, network security, and encryption
Prior experience with .NET and Java
SQL experience a plus
Azure or cloud experience a plus
Experience with a middleware integration engine a plus
Knowledge of laboratory information management systems a plus
Experience interfacing laboratory instruments a plus
Qualifications

Bachelors of Science degree required
HL7 Experience preferred
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday
– Friday 8:00 a.m.

– 5:00 p.m.., plus on-call duties, with overtime, as needed.

Compensaton Range: $60,000
– 90,000k
