Service Transition Release Train Engineer

This is a Full-time position in Charlotte, NC posted June 6, 2020.

Job Description A Release Train Engineer (RTE), is a servant leader, who is responsible for optimizing the flow of epicsfeatures and the value delivered by an Agile Release Train (ART).

– Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating the ART ceremonies, managing dependencies across teams in the ART, and providing visibility into the health of epicfeature delivery and the overall program increment.

– This role ensures impediments to epicfeature delivery are resolved quickly, protects the teams from outside disruptions to delivery, and drives continuous improvement for the ART.

– They manage financials for the ART, assist with resource planning, and facilitate synch points between business and technology leaders.

A RTE, is an individual contributor at the program level.

Required Skills Works at the program level.

Supports all teams on the Agile Release Train and stakeholders under supervision from a more senior domain expert.

Understands the roles and responsibilities of other teams who participate in the lifecycle and engages as required.

Working knowledge of products, services, business flows and understanding of financial context in which technology and operating principles are used within their business area.

Has knowledge of software development but has not been involved in hands-on application developmentcoding.

Has general awareness of testing practices but has not involved in hands-on testing.

Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices.

Ability to participate in their role and utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance.

Basic awareness of architecture and design.

Ability to comply with bank standards for information security and business architectures.
