Senior Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Headquartered in Colorado, ISYS serves key national customers throughout the United States with a presence in more than 16 states. * X-Lab is responsible for developing and integrating future-capability prototypes including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development and other critical leading-edge missile defense technologies * This position will focus on and lead the integration of the R&D systems into program and will contribute to other ongoing X-Lab projects as needed, including the assessment on how the prototype system performs using state vectors, integrating source tracks into the prototype, and assessing track processing results, generating and assessing concurrent radar and sensor tracks during M&S and live flight test events, and enhancing experimental prototypes based on results of these activities * Responsible for defining Operations Concepts, designing prototype capabilities, guiding prototype implementation, designing experiment and test strategies, analyzing results and applying results to guide prototype evolution into the production system * Support advanced concept demonstrations during live and simulated test events * Work with senior technical leaders to evolve advanced Missile Defense command and control capabilities * Non-standard work hours are highly likely during event execution and a small amount of travel may be required * Capability and requirement derivation based on customer needs * System and subsystem decomposition * Use case, system requirements, performance specification development, and UML modeling * System interface design & Interface Control Document development Qualifications Experience Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Science, Physics, Engineering or related technical discipline * 12+ years of experience * Expertise in full cycle systems engineering of new capabilities * Must possess an understanding of systems engineering processes and principles and be able to communicate the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and system users * Demonstrated expertise in systems-of-systems definition, development, and integration * Demonstrated the ability to analyze high level needs and defined a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a fielded product * Experience with integration practices and methods * Ability to conduct analysis tool development using MATLAB, Excel, S-Code, Satellite Toolkit (STK) * Ability to perform verification and validation of systems (functional and performance) * Experience operating systems with Windows & Unix/Linux * Experience with System Architecture Description development * Knowledge of algorithm design and implementation * Experience with experiment and test event design and planning * Familiarity with the application and use of systems engineering tools for requirements management * Familiarity with Link-16, including content, transmission rules, etc. Desired Requirements: * TS/SCI clearance preferable * Experience working on IRAD-type projects * Coding skills a plus (Java, C++, and shell scripts) as well as using the Agile methodology for software development * Trade Study execution * Theory and application of command and control systems * Theory and application of track correlation algorithms * Probability theory and optimal state estimation Essential Requirements: US Citizenship is required.
