Senior Software Quality Engineer – Minnetonka, MN

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Senior Software Quality/Validation Engineer role will work closely with the quality and engineering personnel and various project teams throughout the organization and across multiple sites. In this role, you will help provide regulatory guidance and perform validation duties to ensure all software validation projects, IT support projects and corresponding deliverables adhere to current regulations, industry standards, as well as:
Provide regulatory guidance to ensure all software validation projects and corresponding deliverables adhere to current regulations.
Monitor and Perform ongoing SW validation activities.
Perform development and execution of validation deliverables
Lead the growth and development of the software team related to validation best practice Generate reports and metrics as assigned.
Support and lead quality/manufacturing engineers for their validation need in manufacturing, labs, facility, utility and other departments.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.
Comply with all regulations and standards for quality, Environment, Health, Safety and Energy (EHS&E) Global Policies, Abbott Engineering Standards, and other governance areas as applicable.
Actively contributing towards continuous improvement of the team by suggesting new ideas and promoting innovative culture.
Provide guidance and suggestion and lead implement SW validation related activities.
Work with IT to provide enterprise SW support (Code repository, Bug tracking SW etc).
Monitor and Perform ongoing SW validation activities.
Ensure quality and effectiveness of assigned tasks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences or related discipline, or equivalent
4+ years of software validation experience
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Have a good understanding and experience on software life cycle, SW development, Bug tracking tools, Code repository
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
Preferred
Advanced degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related discipline
Medical device experience
