Senior Software Engineer, Conference Specialist

Our Product Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer
– Conference Specialist to expand GLG’s conference platform which is responsible for connecting companies around the world with experts and professionals in real-time.

Working within a team of experienced engineers you will help define and develop the core conference system which our clients and experts depend upon.

We are an engineering organization that values results and flexibility over process and dogma.

The Product Engineering team builds the platform technology that connects GLG’s clients to our experts.

Our team of product software engineers and product managers are responsible for GLG’s technology initiatives and product development.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Build and drive solutions that enhance our global conferencing system.
• Develop applications using modern technologies and tools such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, etc.
• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle from inception to implementation and support.

An Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following

• At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer building applications and service-based systems.
• A solid foundational understanding of global cloud conferencing
• Experience integrating with cloud communications providers (e.g.

  Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, Zoom)

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or engineering is preferred.
• A proven history of effective application development in multiple languages and technologies.
• Expert level skills in React, Node, and SQL.
• Demonstrated HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills.
• Experience developing full stack applications or other systems of similar complexity involving multiple distributed components.
• Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Ability to create software with reliability and error detection/compensation in mind.
