The Azure IoT team is building the IoT solutions which will support a commanding share of the 50 billion IoT devices predicted to be online by the end of this decade.
The Azure RTOS team is looking for highly motivated and talented engineers to empower developers to design and build embedded and real-time solutions for microcontrollers and microprocessors working with a large variety of devices and platforms and enabling them to connect seamlessly to the Azure Cloud.
Successful candidates should have proven experience developing software for embedded systems, a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, strong technical design skills, and above all a passion for driving the next wave of innovations in Azure IoT.
Responsibilities
• Join a team of highly motivated and talented engineers to deliver features for Azure RTOS.
• Work with Azure RTOS team to drive the architecture and design of new features serving new embedded and IoT scenarios.
• Author highly efficient code that targets microcontrollers
• Work directly with major customers in the industry to both diagnose and provide solutions for their technical scenarios.
Qualifications Minimal Qualifications: 5 years of professional software engineering experience with e xperience in C, C++ or equivalent languages.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
Preferred Qualificaitons: Proven hands-on experience in programming Embedded and Real Time Operating System (RTOS) development.
Develop USB Host class and Device class components Computer networking, cloud connectivity, network security (including protocol stack and cryptographic routines) Demonstrated experience in shipping high quality software products Demonstrated in verbal and written communication skills Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
