Through the role of a radar systems engineer, the selected candidate willsupport the design, development and analysis of next generation digital Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. The selected candidate will perform software development and modeling, simulation analysis (MS&A) related to the design and implementation of advanced RF techniques and radar control. Duties: Research and develop advanced RF capabilities, to include modeling, simulation, and analysis of radar control and radar performance Apply data analysis techniques and methodologies to design innovative CONOPS for next generation radar systems Develop and maintain mission-level models to support multi-attribute trade studies, design of experiment, and analysis of alternatives Design and develop engineering-level models for integration, component testing, and hardware in the loop simulation Develop and implement radar algorithms for radar control and operation Basic Qualifications: Systems Engineer 4: 9 Years with Bachelor’s Degree; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. 13 years in lieu of a Bachelor degree Systems Engineer 5: 13 Years with Bachelor’s Degree; 11 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD. 17 years in lieu of a Bachelor degree Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a radar engineer or analyst Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ Experience performing analysis with large amounts of data using modeling and simulation Understanding of probability and statistical techniques for approaching complex problems Active Secret Level DOD Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Missile Defense and BMDS sensor capabilities Functional knowledge of radar tracking and discrimination algorithms, and/or radar control/scheduling algorithms Experience with AFSIM or related M&S software Electrical engineering background with deep understanding of RF waveforms and signal processing Understanding of radar systems, hardware and capabilities Understanding of antenna design and properties, and modeling techniques for M&S assessment Understanding of adversarial techniques and defensive methods for radar operations within electronic attack environments Understanding of radar discrimination techniques and feature exploitation Background in SW development or SW development management Comfortable with methodologies associated with artificial intelligence such as neural nets, deep nets, topological data analysis and reinforcement learning Knowledge of System Engineering principles and requirements management Effective communicator, capable of effectively translating and presenting complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical management and customers, through presentations and written media Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
