We help them get it right.**Key Responsibilities**+ Conduct code reviews for complex SQL scripts that are thousands of lines long+ Employ SQL Schema compare technologies (SSDT dacpacs, Red-Gate, Apex-SQL) to detect schema drift & generate schema delta scripts+ Maintain database build scripts; responsible for SQL Deployment process using Azure DevOps pipelines+ Leverage an in depth understanding of MS SQL Server query plans to identify bottlenecks and recommend indexes/appropriate code changes+ Maintain both Azure SQL Databases (SaaS) and Azure VMs running Microsoft SQL Server Developer & Enterprise Editions (PaaS)+ Restore databases, run SQL and/or PowerShell scripts against them+ Employ solid knowledge of PowerShell that interface with Modules like ‘DBA Tools’ or ‘SQL Server’ to make improvements to the deployment script generation process+ Utilize advanced Git commands – in order to pull metadata from the Log History+ Develop the occasional application utility using C# and maintain existing utilities that employ WPF.

We wish to utilize docker virtualization technologies in the future and will want to automate that in this type of utility.+ Provide Deployment Support during Production Deployments; could be on weekends / off hours**Key Requirements**+ Minimum of three years of experience
– Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL coding experience+ Knowledge of SQL Window functions+ Minimum three months experience – specific to SQL query optimization, indexing and performance tuning
– including knowledge of when to recommend table re-design+ Able to describe individual query plan operators and implications+ Good communication and documentation skills+ Experienced at using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) (i.e.

Visual Studio Database Projects, particular with a view towards deployments)+ Solid understanding of Schema Comparison Tools (Red-Gate, Apex SQL or SSDT)+ PowerShell scripting knowledge, or willingness to become proficient+ Expert “Git” knowledge, or willingness to become that expert; three years’ experience using at least one kind of source code control systems (ex.

TFS, Git, SVN/Subversion, Rational, Visual Source Safe or the like)+ Ability to maintain a task list and shift to focusing on whatever is most important, when priorities change or one avenue of approach becomes blocked+ Ability and grit to work independently with minimal directionNice To Have (Optional)
· One or more years of experience of Microsoft Visual C#.NET
· Azure DevOps Pipelines build/setup
· Familiarity with Azure Virtual Networks/Azure Configuration
· Microsoft SQL Server Query Store experience
· Microsoft SQL Server 2019 version-specific experience
· Visual Studio 2019 experience
· Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) development
