Responsibilities
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Network Engineering:
Contributes to the design and implementation of all global network infrastructure.
Contributes to the corporate network roadmap and planning with management team.
Network Operations:
Responsible for management, maintenance and monitoring of all network and telecommunications infrastructure and systems.
Primarily responsible for the uptime of the firms global network.
Manages the development of network monitoring and reporting systems.
Ensures all service disruptions are resolved within service level expectations.
Patch management/CVE patching of all critical infrastructure hardware/software.
Performs root-cause analysis to resolve underlying issues.
Maintains stock levels on all infrastructure needs (e.g.
SFPs, network cables, rack supplies).
General Operational Support:
As a member of IT team, provides direct operational support to users as required.
Provides executive (residential) network support on as needed basis.

Technical Requirements:
Must have expert level in implementation, management and support of the following technologies:
Global, highly available Cisco/Palo Alto WAN/LAN Infrastructure
Dynamic routing OSPF/BGP
LAN Switching Spanning-tree, VLANs, Etherchannel/trunking, Switch stacks
Strong Data Center networking experience.
ACI experience a plus.
OSI Model, TCP/IP, IP addressing and subnetting
Route/Switch/SDWAN Platforms: Catalyst Switches, Nexus, Integrated Service Routers
– 45xx/44xx series, Palo Alto Prisma SDWAN iONs, Meraki MX
Firewall: NAT, Security zones and ACLs, High-availability/Failover/IDS/IPS, VPN Remote Access and Site to Site, Experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Palo Alto a plus
Wireless LAN Technologies: Preferably multiple Wireless hardware experience (Cisco/Aruba/Meraki/etc), Security associated with WLAN (802.1x/Certificate Authentication), Very strong wireless troubleshooting skills
Application Load Balancing F5 BigIP Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager
DNS Management Internal (Windows AD Integrated) and External
DIA, MPLS,VPLS, Layer 2 Fiber and EPL circuit implementation/troubleshooting as well as ISP vendor management.
Network Health and Performance Monitoring (currently using LogicMonitor)
Public Cloud (Azure experience preferred) with experience in all associated cloud networking (Express Routes/SDWAN in Cloud) components
Strong foundational understanding, and work experience in following technologies preferred: Cisco SourceFire IPS, Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), SDWAN Aggregation (Cisco iWAN/Palo Alto Prisma/Meraki), Internet circuit high availability (BGP/iBGP), Dual on-prem Data Center design with DR in Public Cloud (Zerto experience a plus)
Strong troubleshooting skills; capable of resolving problems in a timely fashion
Experience in infrastructure security and information security would be a plus
Experience in network performance troubleshooting (ex.
Wireshark)
Business / Personality Requirements:
Committed to the role and responsibilities to the firms network with the availability to provide 7x24x365 coverage
Capable of handling and working under extreme pressure and the tenacity to resolve issues with immediacy
Excellent prioritization and time management skills with an ability to understand the firms high level of expectation of up-time
Relentlessly results driven Excellent communications skills that accommodate both the technical and non
– technical audience
Ability to self-motivate and self-manage in a small team environment.
Strong leadership and able to motivate and mentor others
Domestic and international traveling is required
Educational Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science and/or 5-10 years of equivalent related work experience
