We are looking for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering for Indeed’s Company Signals & Data Platform Engineering team.

Indeed’s Company Signals & Data Platform Engineering team is charged with building the capabilities that enable our Sales, Marketing, and Enterprise functions.

Our goal is to provide the data and services with high levels of availability and reliability so these critical business functions can operate effectively to serve our Employers.

We provide the connective tissue that allows our Sales CRM and Marketing platforms to be tied together that allows decision making to drive the business.

The Platform Engineering development stack is optimized around creating systems with high levels of automation, reuse, data for reporting/analysis, and architectures to provide world class services:

We use Java, Scala, Kubernetes, Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch and more.
We instrument our code liberally with analytics so we can see what’s happening.

We utilize agile development methodology to release regularly.

Responsibilities:
Define and drive your team’s technology vision and roadmap
Mentor engineers and provide feedback on software architecture designs and implementations of new products and features
Create an engineering culture with an exceedingly high bar for quality, ownership, and bias for action
Collaborate with PMs, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products provide the best possible customer experience

Who You Are

Significant prior success as a Senior Engineering Manager working on challenging problems
A deep understanding of Software Development patterns
A deep level of understanding of highly available architectures
Experience with service-oriented and event-driven architectures, APIs, SQL and NoSQL
An understanding of the value derived from shipping code rapidly
Experience managing a high-performing engineering teams
Strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
Solid communication and people skills
BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees.

Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

– 231,000 USD per year
