Senior Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce has a client in search of a Senior Java Developer in Glendale, AZ.

This role is currently 100 remote and will switch back to an office environment when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Key Tasks The Senior Software Developer is responsible for developing or upgrading application software for the company’s flagship products Coaches teams to victory by guiding effective ways to communicate project visions, that inspires team to achieve Provide technical leadership to teammates through delivery of quality solutions to technical problems Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code Package and support deployment of releases Develop, refine, and tune integration between applications Analyze and resolve technical and application problems Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for less experienced software engineers Participate in agile estimations, planning, daily ceremonies and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in team and personal performance Deliver maximum value to the customer, ensuring that all involved have the resources they need, are communicating well, and are shielded from distractions and interruptions Responsible for keeping time goals clear and visible to teams.

Facilitate daily stand-ups -check-ins-, Planning, Showcases and Retrospectives REQUIREMENTS BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Software DevelopmentEngineering 6-8 years of enterprise software design in Java Recent experience of designing and developing RESTful APIs Experience with JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, React), HTML5, CSS3 Databases such as
– Oracle (including PLSQL), Postgres, MS SQL Server, (NoSQL like Mongo is a bonus) Experience with Spring Boot Experience with Source Management (Git, TFS, etc.), build scripting (Gradle, Maven, Make) and build servers BambooJenkins is a plus Experience with Docker is a plus Experience with UnixLinus based operating systems Exposure to JIRA or similar issue tracker Unit Testing Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a plus Exposure to case management, workflow and BPM would be highly regarded (specifically Pega Systems) but not required Cross skilled in multiple key languages is high regarded Ability to work autonomously on complex technical problems Experience building scalable and fault-tolerant systems in complex and hybrid environments Experience with source control management systems and continuous integrationdeployment environments is a plus Experience with automated testing is a plus Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum Experience with multi-threading and concurrency Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) is a plus Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories C++, C, Pega PRPC are plusses but not required Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
