For our Niles, Illinois, location we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer.
The Sibel Health Embedded Team is working on cutting-edge neonatal and maternal wireless monitoring technologies. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Embedded Software Engineer with experience in developing real-time software for multi-sensor systems.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams in order to create world-leading systems. The core technology developed in this multi-disciplinary team will provide future product development across a range of applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize and drive real-time software in order to help create the next generation of wearable biometric devices
- Test firmware architectures that promote the features and functions of wearable systems
- Implement data processing functions on biosensor information
- Specify, document, and maintain standard interfaces for wireless, wearable sensors to mobile devices using Bluetooth and NFC
- Support and execute test systems in order to facilitate prototype devices’ evaluation and use
- Specify, document, and maintain firmware libraries and their testing routines
Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience in working with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- An enthusiastic, driven individual who enjoys working in a very creative environment and has a passion to solve hard technical problems
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of firmware development and experience with ultra-low power systems
- Experience with using software stacks for NFC, BLE, USB
- Demonstrable expertise in C/C++ for high-performance applications
- Experience with writing drivers for and implementing data transfer mechanisms over I2C, SPI, UART, TWI
- Solid grasp of data processing algorithms and memory management
- Experience with programming microprocessors including, but not limited to Nordic nRF series, TI MSP430, and Cortex-M based architectures
- Excellent software engineering skills, including design and architecture
