It creates exceptional.Iron Mountain seeks a dynamic senior product management professional to manage key services within Iron Mountain’s Iron Cloud portfolio. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven experience with Cloud Storage Services with a focus on data protection. S/he maintains a current understanding of Cloud Storage trends, and analyzes and evaluates the marketplace to identify product opportunities and target markets. The ideal candidate will coordinate and analyze market research findings and collaborate on the generation of product concepts while also being able to communicate concepts persuasively to a variety of audiences. Responsibilities of this role will include: Drives the development and execution of short-term and long-term product and service line strategies and roadmaps, validating with customers and modifying accordinglyLead and influence strategic goals of senior business leaders across functional areasFoster close working relationships with Service Line Executive Leaders, Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Field Marketing, PR, Corporate Marketing, Executive and Operations teams to effectively leverage expertise and resources, and utilize cross functional teams to maximize and focus resources on the achievement of marketing and business objectivesDevelop new service offerings by market testing, market research, market assessments, competitive evaluations, gather input both internally and externally to define product concepts, develop detailed requirements, feature definitions and implementation plans, validating with customers and modifying accordinglyBusiness-plan generation – including partnering with the business line executives to commercialize our Iron Cloud offerings and develop strategies to lead them to commercial successManage the definition and development of new product features, manage cross-company efforts to ensure approval, and coordinate their introductionConduct market opportunity and requirements analysis and definition using market research firms and customer/prospect visitsLeads cross-functional team in product development and service enhancement initiativesDevelop new service offerings by market testing, market research, market assessments, competitive evaluations, and service line development activitiesGather input both internally and externally to define product concepts, develop detailed requirements, feature definitions and implementation plansPrioritize requirements and resolve conflicts during the product development processPackage, price and bundle service offeringsService Line ManagementAnalyzes the performance of current service offerings including win/loss analysis, concepts for new services (includes forecasts for those new services), and service offerings of competitors and drives portfolio changes as appropriate.Provides geographic and/or global product management leadership for the service offering.Analyzes current product and service offering financial performanceManages product and service life cyclesProvides strategic recommendations to management.Provides the “voice of the customer” to ensure marketability of products, establishing and tailoring of value propositions for appropriate market segmentsCollaborates with geographic Product Marketing and/or geography leadership to define value and prioritize future product requirements and roadmap.Organizational integration, leverage and alignmentMust have the ability to lead and influence the goals of senior business leaders across functional areas. Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: 10-15 years of experience, with a significant portion in product managementPrevious experience in the storage industry requiredExperience with defining solutions or services for Service Providers is a plusKnowledge of public cloud storage offeringsStrong executive facilitation skills and experience related to strategy development and problem solvingSolid strategic analytical skills (i.e., market and competitive dynamics, business performance)Comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting prioritiesStrong sense of urgencyAbility to quickly develop domain and customer expertiseMBA a plusHighly seasoned product management skillsExceptional written and oral communications skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentHigh degree of professionalism and integrityResults oriented #li-remote Category: Product Management Group
