The Senior Data Scientist will be a part of the Global Data Science team with a dotted line to the Head of North America Analytics This is a hands-on role responsible for building and adapting transformational algorithms and data mining strategies to enable outstanding omnichannel communications for Health Care Professionals (HCPs).

The Data Scientist will be a part of the cross-functional HCP team and will be encouraged to have a direct impact on growing J&J equity with HCPs and increasing the number of professional recommendations of J&J products.

This will be achieved by using data science to deepen our understanding of HCPs’ needs and personalizing their experiences to produce the best outcomes.

You will have a direct impact on ROI on HCP investments in North America and globally by enabling robust data-driven marketing and relevant communications.

You will have strong collaborative partnerships with multiple other functions: J&J Technology, Consumer & Business Insights, Brand Mangers, and various suppliers.

You will also have a chance to collaborate and exchange ideas with the Data Scientists in other markets and J&J Pharma and Medical Devices divisions.

Major Responsibilities Work with the business on identifying and prioritizing data science driven opportunities Build, test, validate and deploy machine learning algorithms and data mining strategies that use data for generating insights and optimizing experiences for Health Care Professionals Develop HCP segmentation approaches and build targeted HCP audiences Work with data engineers and visualization specialists on optimizing quality and usage of J&J HCP data assets Translate data and model results into tactical and strategic insights that are accurate, relevant, understandable and lead to making better decisions Support the business teams to solve sophisticated analytical challenges Develop and maintain ongoing data exploratory analyses and quality checks Lead, guide, and review modeling efforts by J&J analytics suppliers Qualifications Advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, or applied science required Minimum of 3 years of relevant analytics and data mining and modeling experience Working experience with relational data base management systems and strong knowledge of SQL Expert level knowledge of Python Experience with mining and modeling large data sets and applying advanced analytics methods for clustering and segmentation Excellent communication skills; experience collaborating with and presenting to internal and external partners Business acumen, good work ethic, passion for keeping up with analytics and technology trends.

Knowledge of the advanced techniques and tools common to the data science world such as Apache Spark, sparkML, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost, Tidyverse, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform Experiences working with HCP data and analytics, CRM analytics, online media and the adtech ecosystem
