    JOB OVERVIEW:

    We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Application Developer to support a contract to provide IT Support Services at the EPA in Washington, DC. This position is pending award notification.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts.

  • Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.

  • Translate detailed design into computer software.

  • Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.

  • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.

  • Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.

  • Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years experience in programming using an Oracle database

  • 7+ years PL/SQL, Apex, JavaScript, HTML, CSS development experience

  • 5+ years Database skills experience creating and implementing logical and physical database design

  • 5+ years experience leading a team and managing development projects

  • Experience with:

  • database performance tuning

  • using triggers, stored procedures, and thirdparty tools, such as Toad, Visio, SQL Loader for design and development

  • using Agile Development methodology

  • creating software lifecycle documentation

  • analyzing and identifying issues/bugs found in application code

  • Familiarity with Financial Applications and Accounting Concepts

  • Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale DBMS and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives

  • Ability to obtain NACI (Active Security Clearance preferred

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred field of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or highly related field of study.
