Security Engineer

Well qualified candidates will also demonstrate expertise in the following technical areas Experience configuring, implementing and leveraging computer security and networking diagnosticmonitoring tools Enterprise IT design concepts and strategies Familiarity with Information Security frameworks and standards (i.e.

CIS, NIST, ITIL) CISSP, Security Plus, or other information systems security certification Well qualified candidates for this position will demonstrate the following key traits Prior senior-level security engineering experience Experience partnering with peers to find an appropriate balance between operations and security Capable of analyzing large amounts of disparate data to produce easily understandable content Financial Services background knowledge of trading platform process and technologies Responsibilities Help determine security strategy for the company Properly ascertain risk to these systems and provide appropriate security strategies, requirements and solutions for various enterprise-wide products Act as a security risk advisor and consultant to initiatives across the business Consult security LOBs and the infrastructure organization on appropriate controls and clearly communicate security concepts at all levels Manage internal Security projects including writing requirements, managing the procurement process, initial installationconfiguration and overseeing the project lifecycle Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools and technologies Partner with vendors to pilot security solutions Mentor and provide direction and support to SRM team members Ability to positively influence the behavior of peers and build relationships with other teams without direct authority over those teams Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of implementing security tools and solutions Minimum of 7 years of IT experience (serverdesktop hardware software, networking, storage, disaster recovery, and backuprestore) Broad-based working knowledge of networking, application, database, infrastructure andor server administration Knowledge of supporting technology, tools and controls such as Qualys, Symantec DLP, Symantec Endpoint Protection, TCPIP for Windows and Unix, Tufin, etc.

Ability to perform problem solving in a complex, demanding environment by drawing on a pool of technical experience, business understanding and good judgment Must be resourceful, creative, innovative, results driven, and adaptable Solid problem solving and analytical skills Competent designer of mixed-technology solutions Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment Information Security and control certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, Security Plus, etc.) A B.A.B.S.
