SCADA Point-to-Point Tester

LaFata Contract Services (LCS), a partner company of IMB Development Corporation, has been providing Project and Construction Management support in the electric and gas utility industries.

Our Program, Project, and Construction Managers, Engineers, and Utility Support Personnel provide oversight, work activity coordination, and technical support to deliver utility projects in Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.

Summary:
Tasks manage all aspects of the Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) RTU Point-to-Point (P2P) functional testing.

Support all aspects of the RTU field SCADA device testing phase of the project including interfacing with field technician at various substations to point-to-point test RTUs and field SCADA equipment to Exelon’s new ADMS system.

Primary Responsibilities:
Test ADMS/SCADA configurations and add devices and device types to ADMS/SCADA with the continued expansion of the Advanced Distribution Management Systems / ADMS Network Model.
Remote Terminal Units Testing (RTU)
Real Time Electrical Testing
Provide headend testing support as required
Responsible for Database updates, build and / or modify DMS displays, and confirm P2P testing
Interface with various design and construction teams to ensure that new field devices are installed, enabled with communications, and tested within the ADMS environment.
This position will be responsible for evaluating and testing for completeness, quality, correctness, and security of device installations.
Responsible for interface problem solving.

Act as a communication liaison between business and IT teams to ensure that project success is achieved.
Support Testing Preparation and Execution including
Assist in project test case development/approval
Identify/build OpCo-specific processes for P2P testing
Prepare any needed checklists of points to compare, tools to use, etc.

for RTU SIM and P2P testing.
Hold scheduling meetings as required with Stakeholders to review sites to be tested over the next two weeks.
Maintain and follow all detailed test procedures

Qualifications:

Education:
Associates Degree or Technical Certification in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and/or equivalent work experience

Experience:
Knowledge of SCADA, RTUs, P2P testing processes, electric distribution, substations, and transmission systems.
Demonstrated ability to build and configure templates based on established specifications
Work location is in Center City Philadelphia.

This is not a remote / virtual position.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Military experience is a plus
