Position SAP Retail Systems Specialist Location Massachusetts Duration 6 months contract Summary The Retail Systems Specialist is an administrator, analyst and solution developer role on the team that manages and supports the portfolio of technology that operates and advances over 550 brick-and-mortar stores.
This portfolio of hardware and software technology includes Point-of-sale (POS) technology Personalized Candle kiosk technology Retail-centric corporate technology such as Promotion Management, Customer Management, Merchandising, Order Management, Sales Audit and Store Operations Store infrastructure such as routers, switches and printers Supplemental store management technology such as email, O365, Citrix and reporting Responsibilities Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Retail Technology portfolio of technology Develop, test and deploy enhancements and upgrades to software components Provide daily Tier 3 and subject matter expert support to the company’s Service Desk for urgent and complex issues affecting the retail store environment Liaison with business partners and technical partners on technology metrics, capabilities, processes and improvements Liaison with technology vendors on technology upgrades, enhancements, hardware troubleshooting and replacements, and support issues Perform assigned activities as required for retail store openings, renovations, relocations and closings Create and improve technical and process documentation and assist in the training of relevant business, technical and service desk personnel on operational procedures, troubleshooting techniques and resolution paths Perform tasks related to hardware management, asset listings, and daily operations Manage the retail lab environment as required for ongoing technology management Monitor technology health and provide health reporting as needed Perform root cause analysis on retail store environment issues, including interfacing with technology vendors as required Occasionally provide on-call coverage Occasionally travel to other company locations Perform other duties as required and assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent One year of retail support experience, two years of retail store experience, or three years of service desk in a retail environment preferred Excellent customer service skills Strong organization and problem-solving skills Strong teamwork skills, but also the ability to work independently Strong communication, writing and documentation skills Ability to learn concepts, business processes and technical details Ability to learn Retail concepts and an in-store selling environment Passion for learning, adapting and collaborating with people at all levels Ability to periodically work a flexible schedule, with off days and off hours, and with minimal notice as required and assigned For immediate response please send resume to johnson.joyapplexus.com ASAP
