SAP ISU Consultant

Position SAP IS-U Consultant Location Waltham, MA or Syracuse, NY Duration 24 Months Required Skills SAP CIS Functional and Application knowledge required Minimum of 5 years experience in designing SAP solutions for clients in the Utilities (IS-UCCS) Solid background in gathering business requirements, designing functional and technical specifications Specific process and system configuration knowledge Working knowledge of SAP CIS modules Broad knowledge of SAP and third-party application table structure and fields Ability to facilitate meetings with small groups of clients and negotiate with clients to achieve the balance between competing needs and resources.

Solid understanding on the overall architecture of IS-UCCS from the business master data, technical master data and transactional data generated from every sub-module of the solution (FICA, BillingInvoicing, IDE, Customer Service, Device Management and Print Workbench) Demonstrated ability to work effectively across the organization ndash with technical and non-technical professionals.

Ability to quickly grasp the complexities of disparate lines of business and their requirements.

Strong analyticalproblem-solving skills.

Responsibilities A customer-centric role performing key tasks, in support of SAP Customer Information System (CIS) applications.

This position requires insight into multiple business processes and its supporting technology.

As such, this role must effectively blend a core foundation rooted in the business processes and objectives with a broad understanding of technology and methodology in order to support, and at a time serve as a liaison between, the business community, Information Technology, and third-party vendors.

Maintains and updates design documents, coordinates changes and transports with key stakeholders, and executes system configuration and maintenance activities in support of the business.

Proactively recommends process and system improvements to Business Systems.

Owns the business strategy and planning for how technology is leveraged to support, enable, and accelerate business initiatives and operations Clearly and concisely communicates and interprets technical information to a broad range of people of varying levels of technical expertise.

Determines effective solutions to system, reporting, data, and configuration issues.

Analyzes processes and resources necessary for the effective implementation of stated processes and practices.

Documents business and departmental process flow as they pertain to the continuance and efficiency of the operation.

Serves as the point of contact and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing of systems changes, and analyzing data flows to configure Business Systems for optimization, accuracy, and process improvement.

Creates queriesad-hoc reports Performs Unit and Functional testing for new reports Creates reports and dashboards to measure the results.

Oversees andor conducts data extraction, compilation, analysis, and risk assessment to support department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Collaborates with the training team to and assists in the development of user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
