Remote Senior Cloud Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Senior Cloud Engineer in New York, NY. Summary We are working with a top firm and we are in search for a Remote Senior Cloud Engineer. At this firm, our business is data. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with other members of the Engineering and Product teams to help design, implement, and operationalize our cloud platform. You will be involved in a wide array of challenging projects and will be responsible for building, enhancing and extending our cloud platform and CICD pipelines with the goal of moving changes to Production faster and safer, while ensuring operational best practices are supported within given timelines. The position is highly technical and focused on supporting agile software development. The ideal candidate will be have a proven track record as a Software Engineer with extensive Cloud experience. The candidate will be a self-starter, able to act independently and take ownership of key technical initiatives. REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of cloud experience (AWS preferred) 3+ years software development experience and expertise in a number of coding and scripting languagesframeworks including Python, Node.js, TypescriptJavaScript, Bash Experience in Serverless technologies including AWS Lambda Expertise with Kubernetes, Helm and Docker Experience with monitoring toolsframeworks (Prometheus preferred) Experience in AWS Cloud Formation and Terraform with other AWS ServicesTemplates (infrastructure as code) Expertise in SDLC, CICD and related activities (GitHubGitHub Actions preferred) Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service Experience with data streaming and other distributed system architecture Great to have Strong background in LinuxUnix Administration Strong understanding of networking concepts Experience with relational and non-relational databases Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
