Our headquarters is located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near historic Golden, Colorado with an additional office located in Northern California (Redwood City).
About the Role
The newly created role of Project Associate Manger, Systems Engineering will report to the Sr.
Director of Project Management.
Within the Operations team there are four groups: Integrated Supply Chain & Manufacturing Services, Data Services & Cloud Hosting, Customer Success and Portfolio & Program Management (PPM).
This role will lead project management for the organization’s data platform and data science teams and will dotted-line report to the VP of Data Science.
The Project Associate Manager will manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget while meeting and exceeding project management standards.
In order to succeed, the leader must have superior intellect and must demonstrate outstanding work ethic, be capable of understanding and articulating complex scientific, interpersonal, regulatory, and business issues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated project resources to gain alignment on project goals and deliverables
Define project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to structure a project or activity
Develop and drive project plans, aligning program tactics with project strategy
Manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget while meeting and exceeding project management standards
Facilitate and lead effective project meetings, manage change and conflict, and develop resource planning estimates to manage project workload and productivity
Communicates project analytics, status, plans and strategies to executive management

Requirements:
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Engineering or a technical/scientific field)
1-4 years’ experience in Medical Device Engineering or Program Management
Knowledge of medical device regulations including 21 CFR 820, and ISO 13485.
Knowledge of Design Controls, Design Transfer, CAPA, etc.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar certification is strongly recommended
Experience using and implementing Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Ability to learn all functions of the business and build bridges between functions to further the overall goals of the organization – must be a collaborator and communicator
Accepts responsibility and accountability for project success and associated key decisions
Continuous improvement mindset and a result and quality driven approach
Advanced analytical skills: demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process/system issues
Strong communication skills: ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous initiatives
Experience with Smartsheet or other project management tool
Healthcare experience and medical device experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time – Exempt
Salary Expectations: $80,000
– $100,000 total compensation (based on experience and location)
Work Location: Redwood City, CA or Golden, CO
Estimated Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% of time
