Through research and fact-finding, you will make recommendations for developing or modifying applications or databases.

This is a long-term temporary-to-full-time Programmer Analyst role based in Dallas, Texas.

Your responsibilities
– Provides ongoing training and assistance for end users and other partner groups for a particular application, system or process
– Assembles and maintains dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst
– Helps create communication content for certain system changes being implemented in production
– Guides internal clients on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems.

Provides consultation through troubleshooting and/or education
– Assesses processing systems.

Builds improvement recommendations
– Evaluates user requests for systems changes or improvements.

Registers functional requirements and reviews cost, feasibility and utility.

Recommends how, when and whether to make the changes
– Analyzes and documents issues.

Works with other programmers to correct code problems
– Create and evaluate programming changes for each systems development phase prior to implementation.

Log test cases and expected results.

Verify that results meet requirements.

May plan basic tests or a defined subset of larger tests.

– General knowledge of mainframe hardware/software and PC operations required
– Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL
– Expertise in C Sharp Programming (C#)
– Proven success acting in a project management capacity
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
– Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements
