What you will do:
Write, update, maintain, debug and document: automated data import/export and processing scripts, client-and server-side API endpoints, and web applications
Employ a varity of languages and tools including SQL, Bash, Python, sed, grep, awk, git, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Monitor systems for signs of trouble and respond quickly to prevent or resolve issues
Work with project managers to assist with ad-hoc queries, data-analysis, troubleshooting, client meetings and other support
Perform periodic system and database maintenance tasks
Interact professionally and productively with co-workers, clients and vendors
Look for, propose and implement additions and improvements to our products, processes, systems and infrastructure
Learn new technologies as needed
Travel and perform work off-hours occasionally as required
Required qualifications:
Adept at programming/scripting using common Linux and web tools and technologies (Bash, Python, Perl, Awk, Sed, PHP, etc.)
Skilled at writing SQL including the ability to write ad-hoc queries without requiring external frameworks/tools – PostgreSQL experience preferred
At ease working at the Linux/Bash command-line and with IDEs and source-control tools
