Product/AppSecurity Software Engineer

Our client, a consumer products company is in need of a Product Software Security Engineer for a three-month contract-to-hire. The ideal candidate has strong security and systems experience and has worked with cloud, mobile, andor embeddedIoT device ecosystems in a fast-paced, agile, and cross-functional environment. This is a highly technical role with 50 as AdvisorEngineer, 20 Security and Penetration Tester, and 30 Process and Security Program Owner. This position is embedded with product teams to deliver products and experiences with security built in from concept phase to consumer use. Responsibilities include Elevate application, system and data security capabilities in the product engineering community through the creation, implementation, and execution of specifications, guidelines, SoPrsquos, Policies and best practices. Work with development teams to solve difficult embedded software security and data security problems as they pertain to Connected Product security (Internet of Things) and Application Security. Serve as information security subject matter expert provide advisory and consulting services for new products and services. Required skills 8-10 years’ overall technology experience 5 years development experience, cloud and embedded 2 years’ development experience on Mobile (client’s iOSAndroid customer applications) preferred 2 years’ development experience on Linux (client’s consumer products) preferred Strong knowledge of CICD tools and practices 2 years’ experience with penetration testing Hands-on experience with Checkmarx (preferred) or similar application security tools Must have experience with tool customization and trend identification Solid background in data security, ideally sin-depth knowledge of GDPR, etc. Familiarity with the Consumer IoT (Internet of Things), secure software, data and SDLC experience (e.g. MS SDL, OpenSAMM, FOSSID, CMMI-DevSecure)
