The Solutions Organization provides Pre-Sale technical support to the sales team and end user customers, primarily engaged in all facets of Pre sales technical engagements, ranging from demonstrations, proof of concepts and pilot test implementations,
The Pre-Sales Systems Engineer (SE) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The SE collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
Reporting to the Vice President of Solution Sales, the SE reports on a dotted line to the sales manager or business line manager responsible for the sales team supported.
The ability to know everything about everything in an IT, Warehouse and Manufacturing environment. The ability to understand how data is created, and sent through the network to DB and ERP systems.
Job Responsibilities
-Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by leadership.
-Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Barcodes, Inc.
-Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
-Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
-Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
-Provides coaching and professional development to team members in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
-Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms.
-Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
-Maintain a variety of software ISV product knowledge
Qualifications
Technical/Business Knowledge
-Uses in depth knowledge of customers business to position solutions effectively versus competition
-In-depth knowledge and strong operating experience in at least one area of wired or wireless network infrastructure.
-Experience of relevant enterprise mobility solutions, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications.
-Ability to project manage and a knowledge of resource tracking.
-Expertise in software and/or hardware, testing, implementation and troubleshooting.
-Minimum of three industry and/or product certifications preferred
-Large breadth of IT infrastructure knowledge, including server, storage and networking
-Networking skills, TCP/IP and general network design and management capability
-WIFI experience
