Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as an Engineer Software based out of Huntsville, Alabama on the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) Poland contract, a US Army foreign military sale to Poland for its medium-range air and missile defense program.
IBCS integrates disparate radars and weapons to construct a far more effective IAMD enterprise.
IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas.
By implementing IBCS, Poland will transform its IAMD capabilities in a manner consistent with the U.S.
Army.
As an NG Engineer Principal / Software, you will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; design and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Ensure software standards are met.

**Basic** **Qualifications:**
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Software level.
**Basic Quals for Software Engineer:** Must have High school diploma or GED and 6 years applicable experience in software engineering.
Will also consider a Bachelors degree in a related field with 2 years of software experience or a Masters degree in a related field with 0 years of software experience.
**Basic Quals for Principal Engineer Software:** Must have High school diploma or GED and 9 years applicable experience in software engineering.
Will also consider 5 Years software experience with Bachelors in Science, OR 3 Years with Masters.
Active Security Clearance
Strong development skills in Java and C++.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
IBCS/ITEx experience.
Modelling and Simulation experience.
Air and missile defense domain experience.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
