Lucid is looking for the next Plant Vehicle – Body Closures/Hardware Engineer. This role supports all aspects of body closures manufacturing/assembly (doors, hood, trunk, windows, etc. Including, all mechanisms, sealing systems and hardware (hinges, latches, etc.)
Requirements:
- Collect, maintain and report out on a range of product assembly metrics.
- Troubleshoot all body closures issues with the manufacturing and supplier quality team.
- Ensure the product designs are assembled with the highest possible quality.
- Regular Travel is required between the factory in Casa Grande, AZ and Engineering HQ in Newark, CA
Qualifications:
- 5 years automotive experience in vehicle Closures.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing plants OEM or Tier1
- Previously participated in prototype build or manufacturing new product launch events.
- Experience in a continuous improvement function with tangible issue resolution and root cause analysis case examples.
- Working knowledge of hinges, window mounting, window regulators, latches, door handles, etc.
Education:
- Engineering degree in mechanical or materials, MS preferred.
