PCIe Software Engineer II

Apply your valuable PCIe software engineering talents with Microsoft’s Next Cloud Systems Architecture team!The Next Cloud Systems Architecture (NCSA-FW) team is responsible for server hardware definition, design and development of Server and Rack Infrastructure engineering for Microsoft’s online services.

We work closely with Microsoft product groups, industry partners and researchers to architect and develop server hardware solutions that meet the requirements for our cloud services platforms at the lowest possible cost of ownership (TCO).**Responsibilities**This role is for a highly motivated software engineer with a background in PCIe peripheral driver development.

You will be involved with all phases of product development, from microarchitecture design through firmware architecture and development.

At the design phase, you will be part of a team leading the architecture and design and responsible driver development, including PCIe front-end design and development, and package management and firmware feature development of low-level hardware interfaces.**Qualifications**Required Qualifications:
– Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field and/or 4+ years equivalent industry experience
– 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing software solutions.
– Proven and demonstrable skill in C, C++.
– Experience with GIT.
– Experienced with Linux, PCIe, and embedded developmentPreferred Qualifications:
– Familiar with Memory, cache management, protocol analyzers
– Ability to debug and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems
– Strong problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills, advanced design and development skills
– BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experienceAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
