Operations Project Manager Primary Location Chicago IL V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking an Operations Project Manager for our premier client in Chicago IL.

This is a contract position in food processing industry.

Remote Position WHAT YOUrsquoLL NEED Education and Experience raquo BA or BS degree in computer science, mathematics, operations, management, or a related field is required.

8 years experience in IT project work with 4 years in a project management role.

Experience developing and implementing a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the department Experience managing project budget and resource allocation Experience analyzing and interpreting information systems proposals and evaluating and developing alternate implementation plans.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities raquo Strong knowledge of project planning tools and concepts and demonstrated expertise utilizing multiple project management methodologies, including agile Excellent communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills able to effectively communicate to management and the project team Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to excel on a fast-paced project Tools Jira, Microsoft project, Agile methodologies.

WHAT YOUrsquoLL DO Job Responsibilities Demonstrated success delivering numerous projects (delivered on time, meeting requirements, with high team satisfaction), including some complex projects, and projects involving a number of project staff and users Excellent grasp of modern information technology concepts, platforms, and processes.

Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staff Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing project needs and priorities Ability to work with a matrix organizational structure to accomplish stated goals Leads in the planning, implementation and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies, as well as continued effective maintenance of detailed project plan and charter Has direct responsibility for project budget and resources.

Accountable for delivery of the project and project deliverables on time, on budget and on scope Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas develop methods to monitor project or area progress and provide corrective supervision if necessary Responsible for assembling the project staff and manage personnel administration of team members assigned to their functional area, i.e.

providing input into performance reviews manage indirect resources assigned to project tasks including consulting resources Serve as a central point of contact for the functional managers involved in related business processes work with end users and business unit managers to support applications andor projects Provide management, Steering Committee and PMO with accurate and timely projectteam status reports Effectively manages selected vendors, reviews their billings and ensures integrity of their deliverables Facilitate the definition of acceptability criteria with the project customer users of the solution Guides and oversees all members of the project team in their planning of their tasks Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes Follow defined, agreed upon project management methodology(s) Follow defined, agreed upon PMO processes.
